Annual Dance Festival

“They said: Look, there is the annual festival of the Lord in Shiloh” (Judges 21:19).

The festival of the Fifteenth of Av (Tu be-Av), when young Jewish women danced in the vineyards of Shiloh, became known as a festival of love as far back as the time of the Tabernacle. In a special renewal of this tradition, Tel Shiloh hold the Women’s Annual Dance Festival every year in Ancient Shiloh.

The first part of the festival is devoted to workshops on dance styles such as hip-hop, jazz, and modern dance. The festival’s concluding performance starts with hypnotic dance shows and ends with a show given by a top Israeli woman singer. Past performers include Miri Mesika, Sarit Hadad, Yuval Dayan, and Din Din Aviv.

Revival incorporates this joyous and meaningful event in its action packed festival program.
